Narcissus Coffee Table
The top of this table is curved in all directions to mirror the curves of the base. A marble, let go on a corner, would circle the table and eventually rest in the middle. Yet the curves are such that a tall wine glass remains stable in all places. Maple, finished in Tung oil.
Coffee tables are centrepieces which can and should be something out
of the ordinary. They are a key décor element in a living room, make
a statement, and should be as much a work of art as they are
functional. As in all my work, I use either maple, black walnut,
Japanese walnut, black cherry, European cherry, or any wood the
customer desires. The tops might be wood, glass or a nice
piece of slate.
