MapleArt custom furniture is designed based on customer input concerning wood selection, style and dimensions, and is generally produced as a one-off piece or in small quantities. An exception might be dining chairs, where I have produced over 80 units by now and a single customer bought over 15 chairs.
I can work in different ways, reflecting my customers' preferences:
- Customers give me complete freedom for the design, where I create something suitable for their environment.
- Customers provide me with anything from a rough sketch to a detailed drawing to produce the item.
- In some cases, I am given heirloom wood to produce the items.
My work encompasses everything from small items to furnishing an entire kitchen or living/dining room. In the room shown below, I made the following items with matching wood: the dining table and chairs, the chest, the china cabinet, the coffee table, the glass door and frame, the window frames, the mantle/bookcase above the fireplace, and all baseboards.
Once I have committed to a price, I no longer worry about cost, only quality.
