The Rose buffet is my most unique piece of furniture. Originally designed in 2006, the last, most evolved version I built in June 2011. It measures 96 inches (width) by 78 inches (height) and has a depth of 16 inches. As much art as it is functional furniture, each unit is unique in appearance through the selection of wood and grain. Made from figured maple, the doors and drawer fronts use continuous pieces of book-matched same-log wood in 3-ply laminations so they do not warp. To match the drawers to the doors, I also laminate the doors in the same way. The beams are laminated as are the shelf supports.
